With over 2 miles of shoreline, Hammonasset Beach is the largest beachfront park in the state of Connecticut.
Hammonasset had past experience with both welded steel railing, as well as Hollaender aluminum railing systems. Hollaender’s Interna-Rail® aluminum railing system with aluminum mesh infill panels were specified by the park operators for this high profile expansion. The parks find this system ideal due to strength, longevity and ease in assembly. The mesh panels feature aluminum lockcrimp weave wire that is .250” in diameter ensuring a robust railing that meets the state building code requirements of a 50 lb. load on 1 square foot of the infill panel system.
Overall, the railing is an ideal combination of sturdiness and corrosion resistance in a challenging salt water environment.
